AUDITION INFORMATION​
  • Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Druid City School of Ballet studios, 2502 7th St., downtown Tuscaloosa.
  • This audition is for dancers on pointe Ages 14 and up, and UA women and men
  • 12:00 PM: Registration
  • 12:30 - 2:00 PM: Audition (Some dancers may be asked to stay for additional time.)
  • Signed forms and a $25 audition fee are due at registration. Please read the forms carefully before you sign.
  • Attire: Women - Solid color leotard, pink tights under leotard and inside shoes, flat and pointe shoes & hair in a bun. Men - White dance shirt, black tights, black ballet shoes.
  • The audition will consist of a ballet class. All dancers on pointe should bring both flat and pointe shoes to the audition. 
  • Casting will be based primarily on ability. Rehearsal conflicts may also play a role in casting if the number of conflicts appears substantial. Please be sure to list all conflicts on your registration form. 
  • Casting for The Nutcracker will be posted here no later than Sunday, September 21, 2025, A preliminary rehearsal schedule will also be posted.
  • Rehearsals will be on Friday afternoons and Saturdays and begin the weekend of September 26/27. In some instances, rehearsal may fall on Sunday.  Some dancers may have rehearsals two days, depending on availability listed on the audition form. There will be no rehearsals on the weekend preceding Thanksgiving (November 21-22). There will be a run-through Sunday, November 30, in the afternoon.
